All on 4 Dental Implants

Are you searching for the perfect solution for your missing or damaged teeth and a more long-lasting substitute for dentures? Dr. Scott Jett in Fresno, CA, uses his expertise with the innovative teeth replacement treatment technique, the All-on-4 Dental Implants, to provide painless and sustainable treatment for those suffering from unsteady, damaged, and missing teeth.

The All-on-4, which has completely changed the way dentists work, is a one-day procedure and provides you with natural and healthy teeth. Within a short time after the procedure’s completion, you can consume your preferred food but with significant positive difference—using your new, fully-functioning and healthy teeth.

We lay a lot of emphasis on performance, and have the experience to give back your teeth in a single day so that you can smile freely and function in your daily life with confidence. The All-on-4 Dental Implants delivers near instant but durable results, which restore the health of your gums and bone for many years. It also saves time and the precious money you would have otherwise spent on other short-lived and unsuccessful dental solutions.

How is the All-on-4 implant procedure carried out?

The All-on-4 procedure begins with a consultation involving you, Dr. Jett, and his team of well-trained professionals who thoroughly check your dental health. They collect information about your gums, jaw structure, and teeth to devise an appropriate strategy for your dental implant. They examine your dental and medical history, run a CAT scan to determine your dental structure, and respond to your questions about dental condition assessment and details about the procedure. At this stage, patients can also discuss insurance coverage and fees with the clinic’s team.

After the completion of the consultation, you are registered and provided a surgery date, and information about when the provisional prosthetic teeth and dental implants will be placed by Dr. Jett. Finally, highly-experienced lab technicians design your final set of prosthetic teeth, which look, feel, and function exactly like your old natural teeth. The final prosthetics are put in place after your dental implants fully heal.

Why is the All-on-4 the best dental implant solution?

Through the All-on-4, the implants are positioned straight into the gums in an area where the root of the teeth rests. Each dental arch clutches four implants, and it acts as an anchor for your prosthetic teeth. Regarding healing period of the implants—earlier procedures required a minimum of one year or more, but the All-on-4 enables procedure completion in just one sitting. While we create your final set of customized prosthetic teeth, you can leave our office the same day with a provisional set of prosthetic teeth. As soon as your dental implants have spent adequate time in your jawbone and the gums have fully bond with them, we place your permanent prosthetic teeth set—all in one day.

What are the revolutionary differences between All-on-4 and older techniques?

The All-on-4 places four implants per dental arch at a particular angle as compared to previous techniques, in which eight implants were placed into the root of the teeth. The new method is useful for patients with less bone as it does not require as much bone-grafting. In many cases, the increased contact between the bone and the implant reduces the need for major grafting procedures. The All-on-4 implant can be carried out on bone widths as thin as 10mm on the upper and lower jawbone. The sophisticated technique enables speedy recovery, and the entire the procedure is performed at a reasonable cost.

All-on-4 implants are beneficial to anyone trying to find a solution for missing or damaged teeth, and is an extraordinary replacement for far less productive older techniques of placing implants.

So, opt for the All-on-4 dental implant procedure to gift yourself naturally-fitting teeth, savor your favorite food, and smile winsomely without worries. All treatments through All-on-4 are painless, and our dental care allows you to go back to your regular schedule in just one day!

Full Mouth Dental Implants

What are Full Mouth Dental Implants ?

Full mouth dental implants offer patients missing some or most of their teeth a range of treatments including implant dentures or bridges and individual implants. Also called complete dental implants, these treatments are selected based on your unique health needs and aesthetic qualities

Types of Treatment:

Single Dental Implants– If you are missing a single tooth, a single implant can be placed to fill the gap, restore your smile, and help protect the empty space from oral health problems such as gum disease.

Full/Implant supported dentures:

Conventional dentures may slip or slide due to poor fit, causing pain and discomfort. Full dentures are supported by implants placed into the gum for extra support, providing a more secure, reliable, and comfortable fit for those with dentures.

Full bridges:

Full bridges offer the advantages of dental bridges with the added support of dental implants. Bridges are used to treat gaps and spaces left by missing teeth.

Placement of Full Dental Implants:

Implants are inserted into the jaw and left to heal for two to six months. During this time, osseointegration occurs, meaning the implants and jawbone bond together to form a more solid foundation for dentures, bridges, or artificial teeth. During the osseointegration period, temporary tooth replacements may be used for aesthetic purposes and to assist you with speaking, chewing, and other functions during this time.

Healing caps and connections may be added during an additional stage to allow multiple crowns to be attached to the implants. Healing caps and connections further strengthen the foundation for new prosthetic teeth.

Your dental restorations are carefully selected to match natural tooth color, bite, and alignment for a natural-looking smile. These prosthetics are attached directly to the dental implants.

In the final stage, bridges or dentures are attached to abutments. These small metal posts connect the bridge or denture to the implant.

It may take time for you adjust to the feeling of your new implants, but once you do you will notice a vast improvement in your ability to chew, speak, and smile. Properly care for your implants by brushing and flossing as you would your natural teeth for a healthy smile that lasts for years. See your dentist for regular checkups to ensure your dental health and the continued quality of your implants and appliances.

Whether you have a single missing tooth or several missing teeth, full mouth dental implants might be the best solution for you. To learn more about these natural-looking, permanent treatment options, contact our office. We’ll be glad to assist you in setting up your next visit!

Cost of Dental Implants

Cost vs Value of Dental Implants

Dental implants provide those with missing or failing teeth a long term, natural-looking solution that restores both confidence and health to your smile. When placed successfully, implants provide a sturdy foundation for restoring the look and function of your teeth. For your continued health, comfort, and confidence, your dental implant placement should only be trusted to the highest quality experts with the skills, knowledge, and record to guarantee your safety and satisfaction. The long term value of your dental implants depends on the success and quality of treatment, so when researching your dental implant options, be sure to consider more than the dollars and cents.

Advantages of Dental Implants over Other Treatment Options

The higher cost of dental implants sometimes steers qualified patients toward dentures or bridges, but it is important to consider the advantages of dental implants compared to other options. Such considerations include the length of time each treatment lasts as continued visits, maintenance, and replacements can ultimately cost more in time and money than dental implants, which provide a lifelong solution with proper care.

Other advantages of dental implants include:

No need for costly cleaning solutions, adhesives, relining procedures, fixes or adjustments.

Dental bridges require natural teeth to first be filed down. This loss of natural tooth structure puts you at a higher risk of tooth decay and other dental problems. These problems cost you more in time and money down the road.

Dental implants give patients back their smiles by providing a natural-looking restoration of missing teeth. Customized prosthetic teeth are carefully matched to natural tooth color and the appropriate size and shape for your unique smile. Implants look and feel like natural teeth, providing important facial support and assistance in chewing, speaking, and smiling.

Dental implants are also cared for much like natural teeth. Simply brush, floss, and see your dentist on a regular basis.

Determining the Cost of Dental Implants

The costs of dental implants are determined by two key factors: time and materials.

How long does placement take?

Dental implants are placed through a series of steps conducted over several visits to the office. Dr. Jett and his highly trained team combine the latest technology with safe, proven procedures to ensure you receive the highest quality treatment that is both comfortable and successful. High resolution scans allow us to measure the optimal size, depth, and angle for placing your dental implants. Your prosthetic teeth are then custom made for natural-looking results that satisfy your oral health needs and aesthetic goals. During implant surgery, an anesthesiologist, Dr. Jett, and assisting staff work together to ensure your comfort and safety throughout the procedure.

What factors affect the cost of dental implants?

Several factors impact the total cost of dental implants including:

Bone density

Oral and general health

The location of the tooth or teeth to be replaced

The type of replacement tooth needed

The number of implants required

The type of implant material used

Initial Costs Should Not Be the Only Factor Considered

While some materials might seem better in the short term due to lower initial costs, over time these materials fail to provide the same durability as higher quality options. Often times dentists choose to use lower quality materials because they are not experts in placing dental implants. Using a less experienced professional greatly increases the likelihood of implant failure, leading to more in time and money spent on replacements and follow-up appointments. Poor quality materials also increase the risk of implant failure or substandard results. Because we are committed to providing you with lasting results that maximize the health and happiness of your investment, we use only the highest quality materials.

Technology and Experience Guarantee Safety and Success

Research shows that using a knowledgeable, experienced dental implant specialist both trained and skilled in the latest techniques and technology greatly increases your chances of a safe, smooth, and successful treatment. Dr. Jett has many years of experience specializing in dental implant and periodontal surgery. Advanced technology also helps to ensure the most natural-looking and comfortable implant placement. We use digital X-rays to help plan the placement procedure and create your custom implants specified to your alignment, bite, and unique needs. This gives you natural-looking results that also help to maximize your oral health. The VaTech Cone Beam system generates 3D images of your face and jaw and assists in guided surgery to ensure the greatest accuracy of diagnosis and procedure.

Flexible Payment Plans and Insurance Policies

We strive to provide patients with quality care whatever their budget, which is why we offer low and no-interest financing options with CareCredit. We are also a preferred provider for Delta Dental.

These techniques and procedures may be used to correct a number of dental health problems related to missing teeth and may be used on adults varying in age and oral health.

What to Expect from Full Mouth Reconstruction:

The exact steps and requirements of full mouth restorations vary according to the unique needs of the patient, but all full mouth rehabilitations work toward restoring the look and function of your smile. While the exact nature of your treatment depends on many elements including the extent of damage to your teeth, your unique medical needs, and your aesthetic goals, common elements among procedures include:

Dental Implant Supported Dentures

Implant Supported Dentures

While traditional dentures slip in the mouth causing discomfort, pain, and embarrassment, implant supported dentures anchor dentures in place for a more comfortable fit that eliminates the need for messy adhesives and alleviates pain due to rubbing and shifting. When your dentures fit and feel better, you cannot help but smile more!

Advantages:

Traditional dentures are removable, requiring messy adhesives to stay in place and causing pain due to rubbing and poor fit. Implants inserted into the gum help to anchor the denture in place, and maintain the fit of your dentures, eliminating rubbing and sliding. And while traditional dentures actually accelerate the deterioration of important gum and bone tissue, dentures supported by dental implants stimulate the tissue in much the same way as natural teeth. This helps provide a sturdy, healthy foundation in the gum tissue for implants, which in turn provide a lasting system of support for the replacement of missing teeth.

There are two types of implant supported dentures:

Ball retained and bar-retained:

Ball retained dentures attach the denture to the implant using a ball and socket mechanism. Each implant is topped with a small steel ball and each denture is fitted with a socket. The sockets connect to the balls, anchoring the denture firmly in place to provide a comfortable, lasting fit.

Bar retained dentures anchor the dentures using three or more dental implants. A thin metal bar running the length of the gum line is attached to the implants. This bar helps to clip the dentures in place.

Both ball retained and bar-retained dentures offer their own advantages and disadvantages, but both types of dentures provide a more comfortable, stable fit than traditional removable dentures. The type of denture and implant used depends on your unique needs and goals.

If you suffer from ill-fitting dentures or missing teeth, give us a call today! We can help you regain your oral health and confidence.
